A great work by 93-year-old tenor saxophonist Irv Williams, one of the oldest in the Ding Dong Music jazz world. Having served as front tenor for Fletcher Henderson, Mary Lou Williams, and the Billy Eckstein orchestra, it is no exaggeration to say that he is a living witness to jazz. Even in his new work, he makes use of subtones and gives us a modern tenor that is similar to Lester and Dexter Gordon.
